This place has more than 100 years of history specialising in eel.

We went slightly after lunch time on a weekday and it was not busy at all.

Umaki: Eel egg roll
Nice starter but it was just too little eel.
Image 6:
Shirayaki: Slightly salted eel
A very simple course, but it's all about the eel.

It came with a soup.
Image 8:
Uzaku: Sliced BBQ eel in vinegar sauce
The vinegar created a nice balance as the eel here tends to be fattier than usual.

It has slices of lotus root underneath.

In order to fill our stomach, we finally ordered the classical Unagi-o-donburi (Barbecue eel on rice). The eel here is very soft with a fatty mouthfeel without being greasy at all.

Served with veggies on the side.

It came with a tofu soup. In conclusion, we have tried many eel places in Japan and just for the eel alone, this place is obviously the best.
